The story

City roll on. Manchester City won 3-0 at Liverpool on Sunday 11 October and are the only side with a perfect record: six wins, 18 points. Erling Haaland leads the scoring chart with six league goals.

Arsenal keep pace. The champions beat Leeds 2-1 and sit three points behind City. Chelsea thrashed Bournemouth 5-1, with João Pedro now on five league goals, and Coventry beat Newcastle 4-1.

Late drama. Ten-man Tottenham snatched a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford through Dominic Solanke’s stoppage-time equaliser, and Hull came from behind to draw 2-2 with Everton. Bukayo Saka has three league goals for Arsenal.

Liverpool’s summer signing. Beaten at home by City, Liverpool bounced back in Europe, where Bradley Barcola already has three Champions League goals.

September’s best. Brighton’s Pascal Groß was named Player of the Month. Next up: Brentford v Liverpool and City v Ipswich on Saturday, Forest v Arsenal on Sunday.
