Flamingos need a point against Korea DPR to reach the last 16
A 2-1 defeat by Poland, a 2-0 win over Puerto Rico and now a group decider in Rabat.

Nigeria's Flamingos go into their last Group B game at the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Morocco knowing exactly what they need: a win or a draw against unbeaten Korea DPR in Rabat on Friday 23 October 2026 guarantees a place in the round of 16.
A slow start
The tournament began badly. Poland won 2-1 in Rabat on 17 October, scoring through a Wiktoria Skrzypczak penalty awarded after a video review and a second from Natalia Skrok. Substitute Kanyinsola Yusuf pulled one back in the 79th minute, but the equaliser never came.

Back on track
Three days later the Flamingos beat Puerto Rico 2-0. Oluwakemi Adegbuyi scored in the 25th minute and then crossed for Precious Oscar to head in the second on 90 minutes. That lifted Nigeria to second in the group on goal difference.
| Team | P | Pts | Goals |
|---|---|---|---|
| Korea DPR | 2 | 6 | 12-1 |
| Nigeria | 2 | 3 | 3-2 |
| Poland | 2 | 3 | |
| Puerto Rico | 2 | 0 |
Korea DPR have scored 12 goals in two games, including 6-1 against Poland. The top two in each group and the four best third-placed teams go through, so even a narrow defeat may not end Nigeria's run. Their best finish is third place, in 2022.
